CASUAL VIBES WITH STRIPES, LAYERS & METALLICS
It’s a late afternoon instead of an early morning post, better late than never! Things have been a little chaotic lately and I am having trouble getting my s&%t together. Thanksgiving and a three week long cold slowed me down…a bit. Autumn is a busy time for a fashion stylist, the most exciting time of the year; boots, sweaters and scarves…oh my!
Speaking of autumn, it has been feeling more like summer up here in the north. I am not complaining at all, winters last a very long time in Canada. Which brings me to this casual and cool (I think) and extremely comfy outfit. This is a dress from Banana Republic (last worn here) that I purchased last year and wear quite often. I have recently embraced stripes and am loving the casual vibe and visual interest they add to a look.
I found this great cargo vest on clearance at Marshall’s and it is the perfect lightweight layer, the drapey fabric doesn’t add bulk. I paired it with a leopard crossbody bag to mix up the prints.
It was so warm outside in fact that I needed an iced coffee to get me through the day…and clearly I need a side of botox to go with that!
I am new to the adidas Stan Smith cult, and I am totally hook-ed, line-d and sinker-ed! They are beyond comfortable, and of course I had to go shiny or go home. My 12 year old daughter was totally mortified by them, which sealed the deal for me, lol.
Wishing you all a wonderful evening.
