Hello my fellow fashion lovers, October has arrived already, luckily it is unusually warm here in Ontario and I love it! Canadian Thanksgiving is this weekend in Canada, and I am in a bit of a frenzy tying to get prepared for the festivities.

This is the perfect outfit for a warm autumn day, these sailor style flare jeans from Banana Republic are so flattering and comfy, the dark wash is perfect for dressing up or down. I highly recommend these jeans, your legs will seem to go on for days…well I short girl can wish!

Pairing it with a fun patterned blouse is the perfect casual outfit, this one is from Banana Republic too, I also love this one embracing the bell sleeve trend, and I am so getting this one, it will be perfect with these jeans!

Style Tip: When you are wearing flared or wide legged pants the most flattering way to wear them is with a substantial shoe or bootie. A chunky heel and a platform are the perfect balance, a stiletto looks to delicate. For the best leg lengthening outcome the hem should cover your shoe and graze the ground.

Wishing all my fellow Canadians a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, let me know your plans and of course what you wore! I am cooking most of the weekend so my outfit is function over fashion…I know hard to believe!

  1. Loving the outfit and the additional top options from Banana! So looking forward to our Fall Style outing this month. To those who haven’t booked a stylist date with Amy for the fall, I highly recommend it! Still plenty of time (especially with this great weather) to get a few new pieces that will look so great that you’ll be wearing them over and over again.
