TRANSITIONING INTO AUTUMN WHEN SUMMER TEMPS ABOUND
How was your weekend? Full of fun fashion adventures I hope, mine certainly was! Saturday was rainy and we skipped the Fall Fair, the kids and Tim went Sunday while I was shopping with my bff. Even though the Canadian dollar sucks right now, we decided to brave the border. The benefits; absolutely no wait to cross and the outlet mall was quiet. Most of the stores were having amazing sales and we walked away with seven pairs (Melissa with four, myself with three) of shoes/boots between the two of us and lots of other treasures.
My shoes and top were both purchased on our trip Sunday. This outfit is a little bit naughty (leather) and a little bit nice (lace)…just like yours truly. I am obsessed with this peplum top, that zips all the way up the back and is a very stretchy lace with a nude underlay. You know when you try something on and it fits like a glove and you know it will be yours…I was so excited because I have trouble finding tops that fit my bust (or lack there of).
I wanted to pair my peplum top with something a little more autumn-ish, these leather shorts (last worn here) from Banana Republic that I got on crazy clearance work perfectly. The colour and shine add a luxe feel that works perfectly for transitional dressing, the same theory applies to my calf hair leopard bag.
And can we talk about these all leather mules that I scored at Nine West? I imagine most people might pass them by and think ‘who would wear these?’, the answer is moi! I just love the total 70’s vibe, from the colour to the seaming to the block heel. And that oversized gold zipper…come on! You will see me sporting these again in the near future.
Let me know your latest fashion finds…I would love to see and hear all about them.
Your friend in fashion…amy.
