LEATHER SHORTS ARE VERSATILE
I hope you all had a great fathers’ day weekend, ours was packed full of family and sun! My son Levi had a baseball tournament and it was a scorcher…Levi had three awesome games and hit his first double. There is nothing I love more than watching my kids doing what they love.
My photographer and I (aka my husband) decided to do a location shoot this week instead of the usual in front of his office shots. Well I am no model and some of the results were comical…including him piggybacking me through the rough terrain.
I purchased these leather shorts from Banana Republic on a crazy clearance sale in the new year…they were practically paying me to take them off their hands. I have been looking for leather shorts forever, my preference was of course black but for the price I decided to give the olive colour a try. I am so glad I did, the olive is surprisingly just as versatile as black but is more interesting and unique.
A simple black tank, patterned blouse, layered necklaces and camo lace up booties finish this fun look.
Style Tip: Wearing a light chiffon blouse open (in lieu of a blazer), is a casual and cooler alternative to a blazer in the warmer temps.
These camo lace ups are from Banana Republic and would be great for a girls nite out, or swap them out for gold gladiators (last seen here) like I did as soon as we were done this shoot.
Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday.

Fantastic look! Great idea about swapping out a blouse instead of a blazer.

Thanks Annette…I thought the long sleeves helped balance out the shorts.
