BASICS & STATEMENT SANDALS

SPRING FRINGE SANDALS & BASICS

WEDlogo

Well it is Wednesday, half way to the weekend…who hoo! A special weekend to remember our mothers and all they do for us (as my son Levi would say, ‘you made me’), once becoming a mother myself I appreciate my mom so much more. My mom had a slight stroke at the end of January and it certainly makes you realize how precious life is and how we must appreciate and acknowledge the ones we love. We should all give our mothers a heartfelt hug and kiss and thank them for ‘making us’.

Another casual outfit…next week I promise to dress it up a bit! This weather seemed appropriate to get the white blazer out of storage, I paired it with a new pair of Rich & Skinny jeans that I scored at Winner’s for a mere $49.00 and the these fringe lace up sandals in beautiful neutral shades are the bomb.

I am wearing those timeless Chanel Sunglasses I mentioned in a previous post, very classic and Jackie O.

I also scored this Alexander Wang tee at Winner’s…it is so soft and I love the neutral colour, a great layering piece. I really wish I would have tucked it into my jeans and thrown on a leopard belt…always something to improve and work on. We are our own worst critics aren’t we?

I layered on a couple necklaces and rings for interest, and kept my theme neutral.
Style Tip: It is totally acceptable and fashionable to mix gold and silvers like I have above, it adds visual interest and dimension.

These statement sandals are from Marshall’s, they were also a steal at $69.99. They are extremely well made and extremely comfortable.

What new sandals have you bought for the season?

  1. Love the casual vibe! When you mentioned the belt, it got me thinking It would be interesting to see how you’d recommend incorporating leopard or snake prints into an outfit. I’m always apprehensive to break out. Happy Mom’s Day!
