CREATING A SUNGLASS WARDROBE

JUST LIKE SHOES…YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY SUNGLASSES

If you are a serious fashionista like myself, you understand the importance of a sunglass collection. Every outfit requires the perfect pair (just like shoes) to complete your ensemble and to cover up any extra baggage you are carrying. On a side note, I stumbled across a miracle eye cream that really, really does seem to diminish dark circles! (I will talk about it in a future post).

The sunnies above are an example of a sunglass wardrobe…varying frames, styles and lens colours. The classic cat eye is my favourite, a metal aviator, a statement pair, a tortoise pair of Chanel’s will be an everyday staple.

Just like shoes I believe in the investment of high end sunglasses, I promise when you pay more for your shades you take better care of them…I always put mine in a case in my purse (very rarely on top of my head). They will also stand the test of time, I have a pair of tortoise Chanel glasses that I have had for many years.

Style Tip: You know when you see that woman who looks like she has the perfect outfit? Odds are it’s her accessories making the difference; shoes, handbag and sunglasses that are cohesive. Is your outfit preppy? Aviators are your best bet. Does your outfit have a boho vibe? Oversized tortoise shells are the answer. Are you wearing a classic navy suit? Opt for a subtle cat eye in basic black.

How many pairs of sunglasses do you own? My husband Tim has a Persol sunglass obsession and has many more pairs than I…seriously no joke!

Wishing you a weekend of sunshine, and don’t forget your favourite pair of shades.
