NOTHING SAYS SPRING LIKE A FLORAL DRESS
Well Spring has Sprung somewhere, but it certainly isn’t here! We are currently under a weather watch; rain, snow, freezing rain and more rain! Definitely not sandal or even pump weather, I need to get of my boots already. Don’t get me wrong, I adore my new suede boots (last seen here) but my open toe booties and sandals are calling my name…just the breaks of living in Canada, eh?
I am not a huge fan of florals…I think when you are petite they can come off very juvenile and girly. I am drawn to a large abstract floral print with a dark background, it seems modern and sophisticated to me. This was a busy day of appointments and I was so comfortable, the jean jacket and cross body bag complete this casual day look.
I found this silk chiffon dress at Artzia and love the easy breezy feeling it gives me, nothing tight or constricting. I adore that it has long sleeves, a unicorn of a dress really. The sleeves make it great for transitional dressing, when the temps finally rise I will pair this airy number with some gold gladiator sandals.
I wanted to mix prints and textures in this boho look; silk dress, suede boots, denim jacket, snake print bag and leopard bracelet.
Style Tip: To successfully mix prints and textures the key is size and tone. Take a good look at your largest print (dress) and pull hues from it and incorporate them into the smaller prints (purse) and textures (suede boots) in your outfit.
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.

It sure looks like spring where you are. Fingers crossed that come soon for all, but I do appreciate a good boot and boot season 🙂
