It’s the most wonderful time of the year…fresh Fall clothes, have you noticed the size of the September magazine issues! I am like a kid in a candy store. Boots, Jackets and scarves oh my! Let’s talk about upcoming trends, there are so many but I selected ones on the more wearable side.
This season has an overall 70’s vibe continuing from Spring/Summer. Patchwork footwear is a great way to subtly wear the boho look.
Style Tip: Wear these boots peeking under a pair of wide legged pants or pair a knee high version with a midi skirt.
The flares that started to surface this past season are here in full force this Fall, a welcome option to replace your skinnies for a while.
Style Tip: Wear flares with a substantial shoe or boot with a thick heel and a platform, tuck in a printed blouse and you have current casual chic.
PUSSY BOW BLOUSES
Who came up with this name? I love a bow blouse, they can be worn tied in a traditional bow, a single loop bow, or worn untied and loose. I love the printed silk chiffon blouses this season, so flattering and feminine.
Style Tip: Wear these blouses tucked into a high waisted pencil skirt or high waisted jeans/trousers for a polished look. Throw on a blazer or leather moto jacket to get a polished or funky vibe.
ALL BLACK, ALL THE TIME
I try to talk my clients out of wearing black most times, color is so much more fun and flattering. But this Fall trend of head to toe black is enticing.
Style Tip: The secret to pulling of this trend successfully is to mix textures to create a visually interesting outfit. Pair lace with leather or faux fur, suede or even brocade.
MINI CROSSBODY BAGS
Time to clean out your enormous bags ladies…they are just endless pits where we can’t locate our keys. Mini bags are making a comeback, along with purses with graphics and cute messages.
Style Tip: This mini purse is so lightweight and functional, nothing is more convenient than being hands free when you are out and about. Once you try a small bag you quickly realize that all of that “junk” in your large bag is totally useless.
